On December 7th, we celebrated a major milestone with the completion of Phase 2A of the
Salinas Regional Soccer Complex expansion. This phase adds 400 new parking spaces, two
artificial turf fields, six stadium lights, and a new road connecting to Constitution Boulevard.
These exciting developments bring us closer to our mission of providing accessible recreational
opportunities and creating a community hub for the Salinas Valley.
Many of our elected officials and top donors were in attendance, demonstrating the incredible
support from our community. A special moment of the celebration was the First Kick, where
community leaders took part in a symbolic gesture by kicking soccer balls into the goal, marking
the official opening of the turf fields and setting the stage for the She Kicks Tournament.
The Salinas Region Soccer Complex Kick-Off event featured inspiring remarks from several distinguished speakers:

philanthropist - Anne Leach, Representing the Sally Hughes Church Foundation, Andrew and Phyllis

Throughout the event, we enjoyed vibrant cultural dance performances by Danzantes del Valle
and heartfelt songs from Gabriela Sepulveda, including a moving rendition of the National
Anthem, adding to the festive atmosphere and bringing the community together in celebration.
