TRANSFORMATION
Envisioning Community Transformation Beyond the Fields
By re-purposing dormant land into affordable sports and recreational facilities, we will host community events so healthy lifestyles can flourish. Expanded greenspaces will provide a vital respite from mental health burdens, and safe and engaging environments for our youth and families will positively impact self-esteem, health, safety, and overall long-term success and well-being.
Green spaces and sports facilities, like the Salinas Regional Soccer Complex, serve as beacons of hope, well-being, and prosperity for everyone in our community. When previously unused lands become vibrant communal spaces, they hold the potential to help our community reach its fullest potential.
The Salinas Regional Soccer Complex will act as a catalyst for good health,well-being, and personal growth, rejuvenating neglected areas into cherishespaces for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Be a part of this remarkable community transformation as we come together through the power of sports, recreation, and revitalized spaces.

60,000 sq.ft., 2-Story Wellness Center
and Fieldhouse
Celebration
Plaza
Investment $3,000,000
Championship Turf
Soccer Field
Investment $3,000,000
The Championship Field will be the main event of our new facility. This fully lighted, regulation sized field will have stadium seating for 3,000 guests, a media box, and player locker rooms.
Facilities like our championship field will be what truly makes our sports center stand out.
New Fully Lighted
Grass Soccer Field
Investment $2,000,000
Having this new grass field fully lighted means that it can be used for longer hours year round, making fields available for practice, training, and games in the evenings after school and work.
Fully Lighted Turf
Soccer Field
Investment $1,500,000
This fully lighted field is one of two turf fields planned for the expansion, the other being the Championship Field. These turf fields will be open year round, when our grass fields are closed for necessary maintenance or weather conditions. Fully lighted fields also mean that these spaces can be used into the evening, allowing more games and practices to occur after work and school hours.
This field will also include the necessary markings to allow it to be used as two smaller fields when required.
Office Hub presented by Nancy Eccles and Homer M. Hayward Family Foundation
Office Headquarters
Investment COMMITTED
The central hub where all scheduling, tournament logistics, parking pass sales, and administrative operations are managed for the entire Complex. This space supports the coordination required to serve thousands of players and visitors
each week.
Monterey Peninsula Foundation
Heritage Fields
Investment COMMITTED
Currently, over 100 games are played on these fields every weekend, a number which we expect to grow with the expansion. These fields include seven fields for our 13 and up teams, three fields for the 11-12, two for the 9-10 teams, and two for the 8-and-under teams.
As part of our commitment to empowering women and girls in sports, the usage of these fields is (and will continue to be) free to kids’ and women’s leagues, thanks to the generosity of our donors and partners.
David and Lucile Packard Foundation Food Court
Investment COMMITTED
A dedicated gathering plaza that offers economic development and opportunity for small business food vendors during full days on the fields. It serves as the social anchor of major events and high-traffic weekends.
Sand Courts For Volleyball
and
Beach Soccer
Investment $1,000,000
These multi-use sand courts can be set up for either 8 beach soccer fields or 12 beach volleyball courts.
Volleyball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the nation, yet many young people in Salinas Valley lack regular access to beach play. These courts would bring that experience to them, offering more opportunities for movement and play.
Beach soccer is crucial for developing players aiming to elevate their game. “Sand training” enhances fine muscle development, aids in injury prevention, and builds endurance.
Sally Hughes Church Foundation Snack Station
Concessions Stand
Investment COMMITTED
A busy hospitality point that keeps families fueled throughout practices, games, and tournament weekends. Its location makes it one of the most consistently visited spots at the Complex.
BMX Pump Track
Investment $1,000,000
Pump tracks are popular recreational spaces that offer a safe, controlled environment for all ages and skill levels to improve their riding skills.
Andrew and Phyllis D’Arrigo Charitable Foundation Wellness Circuit
¾ Mile Walking Path
Investment COMMITTED
The new sports center will feature a ¾ mile paved walking path around the perimeter of our facilities. Here, parents and families can go for a gentle walk or take advantage of outdoor exercise stations while their kids are at practice or in between games, bringing opportunities for movement to the greater community.
Skate Park #1:
Park Course
Investment $500,000
Skate parks offer a safe environment for youth to practice their skills, promoting physical fitness and creativity in skateboarding and other wheeled sports.
Skate parks have been proven to improve mental health, build community ties, to help develop resilience in youth.
A park course typically includes traditional elements of skate parks, including bowls, ramps, quarter pipes, and bumps.
Skate Park #2:
Street Course
Investment $150,000 Each
A street park offers elements that one would typically find outside of a skate park, such as stairs, ledges, curbs, and handrails. Both Street and Park skateboarding disciplines are competitive forms of the sport, and were both featured in the 2024 Olympics.
