The Salinas Regional Soccer Complex is partnering with Girls Inc. of the Central Coast for a free Girls Empowerment Summer Camp for girls ages 13 to 16.
The week combines soccer and fitness activities with leadership development, mentoring, team building, confidence and self-esteem building, goal setting, and personal growth. Girls Inc. programming will also include self-confidence, personal safety, body confidence, women’s health, healthy eating, mental health, self-care, advocacy, and mentorship, with content adjusted by age group.
The week begins with a run to Natividad Hospital, where participants will be welcomed with physical therapy education and strengthening training. After empowerment programming, participants will head to the field for soccer training led by Simon Dawkins.
