SALINAS, CA — The Salinas Regional Soccer Complex is proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership that positions Salinas as a premier national soccer destination. Alianza de Futbol has selected the Salinas Regional Soccer Complex for its upcoming 2025 national tour, highlighting the facility’s recent expansion and exceptional playing fields. Salinas will host the tour August 9 and 10, 2025.
Alianza de Futbol has chosen the Salinas Regional Soccer Complex as one of just eight facilities nationwide—and notably the smallest by host city population. Alianza de Futbol is recognized for identifying and nurturing soccer talent within Hispanic communities, making this event a vital cultural and athletic milestone for Salinas. The other seven host cities chosen for this tour include Dallas, New York, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Colorado Springs, El Paso, and Chicago.
“This underscores Salinas’s emergence as a premier location for soccer, providing unparalleled recreational and competitive opportunities for our youth and families,” said Jonathan De Anda, General Manager of Salinas Regional Soccer Complex.
Building on recent successes, the Salinas Regional Soccer Complex is in the midst of an ambitious expansion to become the largest sports complex of its kind between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The significant project includes the completed construction of two lighted synthetic turf fields and new parking area. Still to come are seven additional natural grass soccer fields, and a field house for indoor soccer, with a wellness center, cafeteria, classrooms and offices. Additional features include basketball, pickleball, and multi-use sport courts, playgrounds, picnic areas, and sand courts that can be used for volleyball and soccer.
This expansion addresses critical community needs by creating safe, inclusive greenspaces that enhance physical and mental health, community connectivity, and economic vitality.
