The Salinas Regional Soccer Complex invites community members to participate in an important online survey designed to gather public input on the future development and expansion of the popular sports and recreation facility. Respondents can be eligible for a $500 gift card.
Operated as a nonprofit organization under the volunteer-run Salinas Regional Sports Authority, the Complex plans to significantly expand its facilities. Proposed additions include seven new grass playing fields, sand volleyball and soccer courts, two skate parks and a BMX pump track, a 60-thousand square foot wellness center and indoor soccer field, multi-use sports courts for basketball, pickleball, futsal, and play and recreational areas. Once complete, the Salinas Regional Soccer Complex will be the largest facility of its kind between San Francisco and Los Angeles.
As the Complex continues to evolve into a premier destination for sports, recreation, and community gatherings, input from local residents, sports enthusiasts, and community stakeholders is vital to ensuring the facility meets the diverse needs of the Salinas Valley and surrounding regions.
“Hearing directly from our community helps us understand their priorities and ensures that we develop facilities and programs that truly serve their needs,” said Jonathan De Anda, General Manager of the Salinas Regional Soccer Complex. “This complex belongs to the community. The community built it, and the community is invited to share their ideas that could influence our future plans.”
Participants can access the survey online at salinassoccer.org/#survey. The brief survey takes only a few minutes to complete and all responses are confidential. By participating in the survey, people who regularly use the facility (as well as those who do not), will be able to provide input on the future direction of this valuable community resource, ensuring the Salinas Regional Soccer Complex remains an inclusive and vibrant part of the community.
Respondents to the survey who provide their contact information will be entered into a drawing to win a $500 gift card.
